2011 Newman Freedom Biathlon & 5K:

Event is fundraiser for a local youth battling Leukemia.

Participants can enter 5K individually, Biathlon individually, or as a two member Biathlon team.

Biathlon consists of 5K run and 15 mile bike leg.

ChampionChip timing provided by Mattoon Multi Sport.

Course Information:

Run course is 5K, flat, on paved roads, out and back.

Bike course is 15 mile out and back, on very smooth paved roads. Bike course is mostly level, very straight, and very fast!

Directions:

Newman is located on U.S. route 36, 15 miles East of Tuscola, IL. (Exit 212 Interstate 57).

Turn North on Broadway from route 36, and continue to middle of town to city park.

Other Info:

Awards will be presented for top finishers in all categories.

All participants will be entered into free post race raffle. Raffle prizes to include: $50.00 Dick's Sporting Goods Gift Cards, $50.00 Gas Cards, Soft Sided Coollers, and more!

All participants will receive a Freedom Festival Bracelet, good for day of race discounts at local merchants.

Free post race food and drink.

All entries in by early entry deadline, (06/08/11), will receive free "Dri - Fit T-shirt" !
