The 3rd Annual Gloucester Fisherman Sprint Triathlon takes place on August 7, 2011 at 7:30 am. The race begins with a 1/2 mile swim at Pavillion Beach followed by a short run up to the Transition Area. Racers will then bike 15 miles on a gorgeous rolling and scenic bike course. Following the bike course is a fast and spectator friendly run course. A 5k in the heart of downtown Gloucester with the Finish Line right on Main Street in front of hundreds of screaming fans.
Please note that the Transition Area will be located in St. Peter's Square and not on the Boulevard as in 2010.

In addition to our age group awards, the Gloucester Fisherman Triathlon will be offer a $3,000.00 Prize Purse to the Top 5 Male and Female in the Elite/Pro Division.
The bike is a two loop course through the town of Gloucester. The course is 15.75 miles in length.
The run course is a two loop course in the heart of Downtown Gloucester. It's a flat and fast run, so get your legs ready. The first part of the run will take you by the Finish Line and then on Loop 2 you will enter the finishing stretch to the Finish Line on Main Street. The run course will have water, Gatorade and gu at each stop.
