Second Annual Havre de Grace Triathlon.
This is a sprint distance triathlon in a beautiful, waterfront setting on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay in downtown Havre de Grace.  The triathlon is a non-profit event with 100% of the proceeds benefitting the Havre de Grace Maritime Museum and the Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation Oncology Services Support Program which offers many services and exercise support programs for free to all of its oncology patients.  Councilwoman Brenda Guldenzoph was the pivotal momentun who brought triathlon to Havre de Grace.  Sadly, Brenda succumbed to cancer two and one-half months after last year's race.  This year's race is dedicated in her memory and in honor of her legacy.

Course Information:

The swim, .66 miles, will be at the Concord Point Lighthouse in the shallow waters of the Chesapeake Bay.  Swimmers will enter and exit the water from the docks at the Millard E. Tydings Memorial Park next to the Maritime Museum and the Concord Point Lighthouse.

The bike course will start from the park and head north, through the town of Havre de Grace, then head west on Route 155 to Bulle Rock Parkway.  The course will continue through the suburbs of Havre de Grace, on country roads, for approximately an 11 mile loop and return back to Havre de Grace Maritime Museum transition area for a course total of 1-17 miles (county road course pending approval).

The run will consist of a 3.1 mile run around the downtown perimeter of the town of Havre de Grace, passing featured establishments, historical landmarks and popular Harford County restaurants.
