2011 Howln' Half Long Course Triathlon:

This is the second year for this event.

Last year the race did sell-out 2 weeks prior to race-day.

We fully expect this race to sell out quickly this year!

Please register early!

Shirts will be provided to all participants.

Finisher's medals will be awarded at the finish line.

One of a kind Iron Sculptures will be presented to the Overall Male/Female and the Overall Master's Male/Female.

Other awards will be presented to the top 3 finishers of each division.

Course Information:

Enjoy a 2-loop swim at Lake Boutin, nestled in the historic Trail of Tears State Park.

Transition into a 2-loop Scenic bike route over the countryside.

Re-enter the park to transition for your 1-loop 13.1 run.

Bike and run courses are marked VERY well.

Mile markers are posted at every mile of the run course and every 15 miles of the bike course.

Aid Stations/Water stops are available at approximately every 1-1.5 miles of the run course and every 10-15 miles of the bike course.

There is one climb along the course nicknamed, "The Beast". You will pass this climb twice on the bike course (once per loop) and once on the run.
