_ 2018 Morgan Hill Triathlon & Aquabike:
We kick off the summer with a classic sprint triathlon, The 27th Annual Morgan Hill Triathlon will be held at UVAS Reservoir in Morgan Hill, CA. This event sells out early every year as local and destination triathletes vie for one of the available entries to enjoy this unique sprint triathlon in the Silicon Valley. This looped bike course is a staple in the Northern California triathlon community. Come and enjoy a great day in the sun along with hundreds of other passionate triathletes.

The Swim 3/4 Mile:
The reservoir offers some of the cleanest water around, and features 65 to 70 degree water temperature in May. Wetsuits are encouraged for safety, but are not mandatory. The swim course is well marked and participants swim around a natural wooded and tree-lined peninsula. Swimmers follow the shoreline and finish at the boat ramp on the opposite side of the start.

Elevation Gain: 462 ft.
Drafting: Drafting is illegal. The race sells out to capacity every year, and we ask your help in doing the best we can to help enforce the “NO DRAFTING” rules.. You, the athlete, are the simplest and best way to keep the bike course safe and draft free. We will have officials out on the bike course, but you personally need to help the sport and yourself by simply backing out of packs, slowing down or verbally mentioning to other athletes not to draft or block the roadway by riding 2 or 3 abreast.

Elevation Gain: 32 ft.
The 5 mile run will be out and back on Uvas Rd. It is completely paved and lined with trees and right along UVAS Reservoir. You will have water and electrolyte hydration available every mile on the run course.
Please do not park on Uvas Rd as we are not permitted to do so and this makes the course unsafe if your cars are not off the road completely. Please park at the following address so we make our permitting party happy and keep the event safe for all.
Parking will be available at no charge at the following address for all participants. Follow the parking signs into the parking area.
