The 2017 Tri for Love Triathlon is a USAT sanctioned event. It begins at The Herndon Community Center in Herndon VA. The 400 yard swim is an indoor swim, followed by a 15.4 mile bike ride along the W&OD Trail from Ferndale Drive to Ashburn Road and back. The run is a 3.1 mile run along the W&OD horse trail.
Bike & Helmet Check is mandatory. Please bring bike, helmet, USAT membership and photo ID to Bicycle Outfitters on Saturday, September 23, 2017. Times will be posted soon. More details will follow closer to event date.
Triathlon starts at 7:00am. Herndon Community Center.
Transition area opens at 5:45am and closes at 6:45am
Pool opens at 6:00am

Course Information:
The swim is a 400 yard snake swim in the 25 yard indoor pool at The Herndon Community Center. Please note backstroke is not permitted.
The bike portion of the race is 15.4 miles on the W&OD Trail from Ferndale Drive to Ashburn Road and back. The trail will be supported with police and volunteers.
The 3.1 mile run begins at The Herndon Community Center and runs along the W&OD Trail on the horse path.

All bikes and helmets must be checked and cleared at Bike & Helmet Check by Bicycle Outfitters personnel to be permitted to participate.
If you are not a USAT member you may apply online for a one day membership. You will be prompted to register with USAT as go through the online registration for Tri for Love. If you purchase the USAT membership, print the temporary membership card and bring it to Bicycle & Helmet Check at Bicycle Outfitters on Saturday September 23th.
