Obstacle/Mud Runs : Adventure Run With Mud & Obstacles |
The spectator friendly 3-mile course features music, obstacles, creek crossings, multiple mud pits and a giant slip-n-slide. The race also includes a tethered 3-person team division and a one-mile Mini Mud Run.
There are no age restrictions for Mud Runners. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the waiver. Participation is at the discretion of parent/guardian.
After the race, there will be multiple outdoor shower stations and a station for runners to dump their dirty shoes. There will also be an After-Party that will include food, drinks, music and awards presentation. Participants are encouraged to hang out after the race and enjoy the party with friends, family and other runners.
Both courses include obstacles and mud pits, and the 3-mile course includes creek crossings. These elements add to the event, but can cause congestion, so please be patient. Faster runners competing for medals should start near the front of their wave to avoid lines at the obstacles. Non-competitive runners--especially those caught by a runner or team from a subsequent wave--are advised to make way for faster and more competitive runners, especially at the obstacles. However, no cutting in line is allowed.
At the main mud pit, please DO NOT go down the slip-n-slide head first. The mud pit is not very deep and sliding down head first could result in serious injury.
All runners should review the course maps and be aware of obstacle and aid station locations.
All obstacles are designed to be fun. If, at any time, you are not comfortable with an obstacle, there are exit locations available for you to go around the obstacle. If you choose not to participate in an obstacle, you must wait on the other side until the person who was in front of you completes it. No cheating! This rule does not apply to creek crossings...creek crossings are mandatory. There are no other ways around the creeks.
Course maps will be posted here once available.
Costume Contest
A photo backdrop will be set up alongside the Check-In tent. Participants wishing to enter the Costume Contest must get their photo taken in front of the backdrop between 8 a.m.–11 a.m.
Judges will review the photos and select the winners during the run. Winners will be announced and will receive a special prize at the awards ceremony during the After-Party. All participants are encouraged to show up in their best tasteful costume!
Costume contest photos are posted on the Mud Run Facebook page for participants to share with friends and family.
Funds2Orgs
We have partnered with Funds2Orgs this year to provide a shoe recycling option for those who wish to leave their shoes behind and donate them to a worthy cause. After the run, simply head to the shower stations and clean off, including your shoes, and leave them at the recycling station where volunteers will be on hand to help bag them.
