2010 brought us the inaugural Dam Site Du. New Mexicos newest kids duathlon. The "Du" is held the saturday night before the Dam It Man Sprint Triahtlon. 2010 saw 22 kids from across the southwest compete in this hugely successful event. This duathlon takes place at the historic Dam Site recreation area located at Elephant Butte reservoir. This course is closed to traffic and our volunteers outnumber the contestants at least 2 to 1. The bike course allows the kids an opportunity to cycle onto & over Elephant Butte Dam. The Dam SIte Du is an incredible experience for the kids, family and spectators. Plan on being at Elephant Butte Reservoir the weekend of July 23rd & 24th & make the Dam Site Du/Dam It Man Sprint Triathlon a family event!
