_ 2017 The Kid's Legacy Tri:
This youth triathlon is open to ages 6-15. Race age is your age on December 31, 2017. We are sanctioned by USA Triathlon. Our youth race in four age groups: 6-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15 years old. We will have 50-75 volunteers, many of them veteran adult trithletes, to make sure the event is safe. Also on standby is an ambulance with EMT's, a doctor poolside, and at least 3 lifeguards. Our finish line features bubbles, a red carpet, an annnouncer, music, and people lining the way in. Each child who participates receives a race shirt, a logo swim cap, a medal, and is eligible for the age-group awards.
Course Information:
The swim is held in the outdoor, heated, eight-lane pool at the club with good viewing for parents and family just outside the fenced area. The transition area is in the rear parking lot below the pool. Most of the bike course is on the Legacy Trail which is asphalt, and closed to any motorized vehicles. The run is on the club property, and fairly level along rock roads, and asphalt.
Directions:
The Club at Spindletop Hall is located on Ironworks Pike which is off of the Kentucky Horse Park exit.
