- The Y‘s mission is to promote youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Frederick Kid’s Triathlon was formed to provide a fun, safe and healthy event for children ages 6 to 15 in our community and surrounding communities in Maryland and nearby states. This event is for all exercise/sport types from the very beginner to the competitive youth athlete.

Indoor swim, bike uses the school property, bike path and residential neighborhood. No major roads are used. The Run uses the school property and adjacent county park.

Directions:
The race takes place at Middletown High School in Middletown, Maryland. Located in Frederick County this event is just 50 miles west of Baltimore, 50 miles north of Washington DC, and 35 miles south of Gettysburg, PA. The course uses the school property, adjacent residential neighborhood and county park. No major roads are utilized. Traffic Control Personnel and Volunteers will be available at any intersection for the bike route segment.
