The Meltdown Adventure Race : Off Road |
Adventure Race : 6 hr adventure race |
Come out to The Meltdown and get a leg up on the 2017 racing season! What better way to thaw yourself of the winter freeze and melt off those extra holiday pounds.
Fair Hill NRMA (Natural Resource Management Area,) was formerly owned by William duPont Jr. in one of the largest private landholdings on the east coast. Today outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy over 5,000 acres of protected land boasting more than 75 miles of multi use trails for hiking, biking, and equestrians.
Tired of doing the "same old - same old"? Then come on out to our 6 hour adventure race! You'll be given a map with checkpoints marked on the map, and up to 6 hours to collect as many of these checkpoints as you can. Collect as many as you like and run and bike for as long as you like, but no longer than 6 hours will be permitted. All you need is an adventurous spirit, and some very basic map reading skills (do you know your north from your south and your left from your right?)
If we happen to have snow cover, you can travel by any means you choose. You can snowshoe, ski, even posthole your way from point to point.
