2011 Columbus Challenge Sprint Triathlon:

  • The Columbus Challenge Sprint Triathlon is USAT Sanctioned.
  • The race starts and finishes at Tipton Lakes Marina in Columbus, Indiana.
  • 0.5 Mile Swim, 17.5 Mile Bike, 3.1 Mile Run

    • Course Information:


  • The swim is an out-and-back course starting at The Marina (0.5 mile).
  • The bike course consists of flat to rolling hills through the countryside of Bartholomew County (17.5 miles).
  • The 5K run course is flat and on roads within beautiful Tipton Lakes residential area (3.1 miles).

    • Directions:


    Tipton Lakes Marina 6000 Tipton Lakes Blvd.

  • Take  I-65 to Exit 68 (SR 46) Columbus.
  • Take SR 46 west to Goeller Boulevard.
  • Turn left (south), taking Goeller Boulevard to TIpton Lakes Boulevard.
  • Turn left onto Tipton Lakes Boulevard.
  • Follow Tipton Lakes Boulevard to The Tipton Lakes Marina.

    • Other Info:


  • Participants may compete in either the age division, relay team division or weight division (if applicable).
  • The top three teams in each division will receive awards.
  • Additionally,individual awards will be given to the top three male and female participants in each of the following age divisions: 14-17, 18-20, 21-24, 25-29, 30-34,35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64,65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, and 85+.
