Culpeper International Triathlon :
Triathlon : Swim 1500 Meters, Bike 24 Miles, Run 6.2 Miles

2011 Culpeper Olympic Triathlon:

The Culpeper International Distance Triathlon is staged out of the same great venue that has seen the Culpeper Sprint sell out.

With a new and improved swim start/finish area this race has really just kicked it up a notch.

Course Information:

The swim takes place in the clear waters of Mountain Run Lake where athletes will do a triangular 1500 meter swim course.

After exiting the water athletes will do a bike course that is similar to the sprint course but with the addition of a left hand turn is extended by 8 miles for a 24 mile bike course. This is not an easy bike course, but it sure is fun with an extended straightaway on 522 that is great for tucking into the aero position.

The run course is still being tweaked but it will either be a 2 lap version of the sprint course or be an out and back onto Lakemont.
