The MO' Cowbell Marathon starts and finishes in Frontier Park, bordered by the Missouri River on one side and historic Main Street St. Charles on the other. The flat, fast course winds its way out toward New Town St. Charles for a loop around the very unique neighborhood there before heading back toward Frontier Park. The second half runs north along the Katy trail for a quick down and back flat course. 

We also have a Half Marathon, Half Marathon Relay and 5K race!

Please allow extra travel & parking time on race morning.  We encourage all of our runners to arrive at least 1 hour prior to the race start.   

From Hwy 364 (Page Extension) heading West:  Exit at S. River Road/Arena Parkway (Exit #14). Turn right on the S. River Road/Arena Parkway.  Stay right on S. River Road/Arena Parkway at the stoplight at Friedens Road. Turn right onto S. Main Street where you will pass by Ameristar Casino.  Turn right on Boone’s Lick Road.  The start/finish line is one block north of the Jaycee’s Stage on the Riverside Drive, the first left after Boone’s Lick. Participants & spectators will not be able to drive on Riverside Drive.

From Hwy 364 (Page Extension) heading East:  Exit at S. River Road/Arena Parkway (Exit #14). Turn left on the S. River Road/Arena Parkway.  Stay right on S. River Road/Arena Parkway at the stoplight at Friedens Road. Turn right onto S. Main Street where you will pass by Ameristar Casino.  Turn right on Boone’s Lick Road.  The start/finish line is one block north of the Jaycee’s Stage on the Riverside Drive, the first left after Boone’s Lick.  Participants & spectators will not be able to drive on Riverside Drive.

From I-70 heading West:  Exit at Fifth Street Exit (Exit #229B) which merges on to S. Fifth Street.  Turn right on Ameristar Boulevard and left on S. Main Street.  Turn right on Boone’s Lick Road.  The start/finish line is one block north of the Jaycee’s Stage on the Riverside Drive, the first left after Boone’s Lick. Participants & spectators will not be able to drive on Riverside Drive.

From I-70 heading East:  Exit at Fifth Street Exit (Exit #229).  Take a left on S. Fifth Street.   Turn right on Ameristar Boulevard and left on S. Main Street.  Turn right on Boone’s Lick Road.  The start/finish line is one block north of the Jaycee’s Stage on the Riverside Drive, the first left after Boone’s Lick. Participants & spectators will not be able to drive on Riverside Drive.

From the start/finish line:  Teammate 2 should head one block west of the start/finish line to Llywelyn’s Pub at 100 N. Main Street, in St. Charles.  Shuttles are picking them up from there.  Shuttles start at 7 a.m. and take off every 15 minutes. The FINAL shuttle will leave at 7:45 a.m. and will not wait for any runner!  Plan to arrive at Llywelyn’s Pub no later than 7:00 a.m. to avoid missing the shuttle.  We will not be responsible for runners who miss the final shuttle, please plan accordingly.  

PARKING

Parking is available at the large lot near the Boat House,  just south of Frontier Park. (Do not park in Ameristar’s portion of the Boat House parking lot for risk of being towed.) Additional parking is available in any of the public lots along Riverside Drive both north and south of the start/finish line that aren’t designated for MO’ Cowbell Staff Parking, the parking garage on N. 2nd Street and Monroe Street and the Ameristar parking garage just one mile south of the start/finish line.  Please allow extra time to find parking and to walk to the start/Finish line. Carpooling is encouraged.

It is ideal for runners to use S. Main Street when leaving Frontier Park.  Take S. Main Street passed Ameristar to S. Fifth Street. From there, you can turn right for access to I-70 (both east and west), or turn left to access Hwy 364 (Page Extension), just a few miles south on Arena Parkway.
