2011 Powell3 Triathlon Challenge:
This is the most scenic triathlon on the border of Arizona and Utah. The beauty of the course is best scene from the bike course at the top of the hill. The landscape to this course is second to none. Red rock views from every angle.
Course Information:
The course on this event has two distances.
Sprint
Swim 750 Meters in a triangle counter clockwise.
Bike 12 Miles over paved roads with red rock all around in a loop. Good climb.
Run 3.1 miles (out and back).
Olympic
Swim 1500 Meters in a triangle counter clockwise (two laps of 750 Meters).
Bike 24 Miles over paved roads with red rock all around in a loop (two laps of 1500 Meters). Good climb.
Run 6.2 miles (out and back).
Sprint
Swim 750 Meters in a triangle counter clockwise.
Bike 12 Miles over paved roads with red rock all around in a loop. Good climb.
Run 3.1 miles (out and back).
