_ 2017 Black Butte Ranch Tri For Fun:
The Tri For Fun is a short, sprint-distance event designed to be an incredible opportunity to try a triathlon for the first time, or to have fun in a competition with your family and friends! This year we are introducing not only a Kids Super Sprint division, but also a Sprint Duathlon!
Course Information:
Sprint Triathlon Distances:
300 yard swim in the Lakeside Pool
9.3 mile through the curves and hills of Black Butte Ranch
3.5 mile run through the BBR meadow. Gorgeous views of the Cascade Mountain Range with close up views of Washington, Jefferson, Three Fingered Jack, Three Sisters, and Black Butte.
(Team relay available for this distance: 3 people per team)
Sprint Duathlon Distances:
9.3 mile bike
3.5 mile Run
KIDS Super Sprint Triathlon Distances:
100 yard swim
3.5 mile bike:
1.2 mile run (Begins at the Activities Center, turn around at Robert’s Pub)
Directions:
Travel west on Hwy 20. Turn left at Black Butte Ranch. Go straight at the intersection. Drive 1 mile. Turn left into the parking lot in front of the Activities Center. Additional parking across the road.
