_ 2016 Peace Love Run - San Diego 13.1, 10k 5k:
Get your groove on as we race alon the scenic waterfront course at San Diego's Mission Bay Park on April 1, 2017. Nothing but peace and love at this scene! Go-go girls, hippie chicks, and Woodstock dudes, Sonny & Cher will be there! What will you wear? Events are half marathon 10k, 5k and kid's dash (approximately 400 meters.) All finishers receive a custom medal unique to the event. Half marathon finishers receive a larger medal and technical shirt. The 10k and 5k athletes receive a cotton T shirt. Post race festival includes 60's music, vendors and refreshments. Awards for half marathon, 10k, 5k: gift certificates, and additional medal for 1, 2, 3 overall winners. Age Group Division medals 1, 2, 3. Sl flash back to the 60's when Hendrix and the Beatles ruled. Because runners like to do good deeds, we are collecting gently used clothes for Rachel's House and called goods for Father Joe's Village. Opening price $35 for 5k, $45 10k and $75 for the half marathon. http://www.wiz-events.com
Course Information:
Mostly paved course, there ares some paths, . The course is flat and fast with panaramic views from Fiesta Island of the bay, the park's grassy knolls and palm trees.
Directions:
1775 East Mission Bay Drive, just south of the Hilton Hotel. Complementary parking throughout the park.
