The swim course is rectangular shaped, with the swimmers traveling in a clockwise direction. Participants will start waist deep in the water. Keeping all the large orange buoys on right hand side athletes will swim in a clockwise direction. We will have plenty of lifeguards and volunteers to keep you safe in the water.
The bike course is a scenic and lightly-rolling loop through Historic Osterville and Centerville with incredible ocean vistas! If this is your first time competing in the Hyannis Triathlon, the bike course truly is one of the most scenic around. Athletes will leave transition and ride through the downtown areas of Centerville and Osterville before hitting the shoreline for the remaining 2-miles of the course!
The run take athletes on a flat and scenic lollipop out-and-back course within Craigville Village. Upon leaving transition the course starts out flat, then hits a gradual climb as it enter the loop part of the course. The loop section features gradual rolling hills and is fully shaded. Aid stations are located as athletes leave transition and also at the half-way mark of the course. Upon returning to the beach make sure to save a little bit for the 100m beach run into the spectator lined finish chute.
