We are excited to announce Boise’s winter multisport event the 'Winter Challenge at Bogus Basin' has been selected to host the Winter Triathlon National Championships in 2015!
The race will take place at Bogus Basin's Nordic Lodge Saturday February 28th. The event will consist of a 4km run on snow followed by a 15km bike on snow and finally an 8km skate/freestyle ski. The race format will be held on the trails around the Nordic lodge in a multi-lap format that will be fun for racers and spectators.
“Vinter Utfordring” translates in Norwegian as “Winter Challenge” and as hard as it is to say we have taken inspiration from this in creating a fun and unique winter multi-sport event. Norway is the birthplace of competitive winter sports and we think it is a fitting theme for the race. Whether it is called winter triathlon, winter multi-sport, winter challenger or Vinter Utfordring we think it is a great way for our Nordic community to get together for a fun community event.
