2011 Railsplitter Triathlon:

  • The Railsplitter Triathlon takes place in a beautiful private lake, the rolling hills of Jim Edgar Panther Creek State Park and the run is in Lincoln's New Salem 1800's Pioneer Village.
  • Make no mistake this is not your central Illinois typical terrain - we have hills. The loop through Jim Edgar Panther Creek serves as a training loop for many long course races including Ironman and Chicago's Accenture. You will find a bike course that prepares you for many large events at a fraction of the cost.

    • Course Information:

  • Swim 1 mile in private lake.
  • Bike 36 miles through Panther Creek State Park.
  • Run 7 miles through the 1800's New Salem Pioneer Village.

  • Petersburg, Il is about 30 minutes north of Springfield, IL and is west of I-55.
