2011 Stovepipe Sprint Triathlon:

  • While many races are offered in central Illinois, make no mistake - this is not typical central Illinois terrain.
  • The Stovepipe Sprint swim takes place in a beautiful private lake while the bike takes place on rolling prairie roads and the run takes place in Lincoln's New Salem State Historic Site's 1800's New Salem Pioneer Village.

  • Bike 18 miles on rolling prairie roads.
  • Run 4.4 miles through the 1800's New Salem Pioneer Village.

  • Petersburg, Il is about 30 minutes north of Springfield, IL and is west of I-55.
