The Sprint course will take place almost entirely on the Martin Luther King Drive section of Fairmount Park. It will include many pieces of the popular Olympic course. Like the Olympic Triathlon, its start/finish area and the transition area will be located just off Martin Luther King Drive, near the base of Black Road.
For the first year, the Philadelphia Insurance Triathlon will also feature a Sprint distance Aquabike, which will follow the Swim and Bike course
For the Kids' races
Registration Fee:
Duathlon- $20 online prior to race weekend, $30 race weekend
Fun Run - FREE
All races require registration (Pre Registration available online) Race day registration will be open until 12 noon for the Duathlons and 1PM for the Fun Runs.

Course Information:
SWIM
The .9K swim will be a loop that will start and finish at the transition area. The current in the River is negligible this time of the year. The finish will be an exit right into the belly of the transition area.
BIKE
After exiting the transition area, athletes will start the two loop bike course all in Fairmount Park. Each loop will contain some fast, flat sections on Martin Luther King Drive as well as some modest technical and hilly portions on both sides of the river.
RUN
The 5K run will be an out and back on Martin Luther King Drive with a photo finish just a short distance from the transition area.
Other Info:
The PHLYTRI MultiSport Expo will be the center of attraction surrounding a weekend of festivities on June 24-26, 2011. It will be open June 24th from 12pm-8pm; June 25th from 10am-4pm; and June 26th throughout the event. We expect 5,000 people to attend our Expo, all looking for the latest in multisport products, services, accessories, and events. The Expo will be held under a large white tent on Smith Field, adjacent to the Please Touch Museum. The Please Touch Museum is located at 4231 Avenue of the Republic, Philadelphia, PA.
