2011 Historic McKinney Kiwanis Kids Triathlon:

  • It's time to bring out your tri kids for the first big DFW youth race of the season!
  • Hosted by Playtri and the McKinney Kiwanis, this event is sure to be a positive experience for your young athlete.
  • The course is extremely safe and well-marked, and staffed with helpful and friendly volunteers.
  • There are lots of great photo opps along the course for family members, and an exciting finish line and post-race party.
  •  All finishers receive medals, and the event is professionally chip-timed, with results available online post-race.

  • 7 10: 100 yard pool swim 2.5 mile bike 0.5mi run
  • 11-14: 200 yard pool swim 5 mile bike (2 loops) 1mi run
  • Transition will be open from 6:30am 8:00am.

  • The Historic McKinney Kiwanis Kids Triathlon is a USAT sanctioned event. All participants must be a current annual member of USAT or purchase an annual youth license for $5 at packet pick up. Do not send USAT permit fee with paper entry fee.

  • All established USAT rules will be in effect and will be strictly enforced.
  • You must show your childs USAT member card and your photo ID at packet pick up - no exceptions.
  • Parents or legal guardians may pick up childrens packet. Child does not have to be with parent or legal guardian.
  • If your child is an annual USAT member and you do not bring the member card to packet pick up, you must buy another $5 annual membership. No exceptions.
