The Third Annual Nottingham Kids Triathlon emphasizes health, self-esteem, self-confidence and fun, in a safe, family-friendly environment. The triathlon is open to all children ages 6 to 14. New this year, there will be two races distances. Our 6 to 9 year old triathletes will swim 50 meters, bike 2 miles and run .5 miles, while our 10 to 14 year old triathletes will swim 100 meters, bike 4 miles and run 1 mile. The races will be run consecutively, and both races will start and finish at the Nottingham Swim Club.
When: Saturday, August 28, 2009, 9 a.m.
Where: Nottingham Swim Club, 1104 Kingsbridge Terrace, Mount Airy, MD

Who: All children ages 6-14. Membership to the Nottingham Swim Club is not required to participate. Children from outside the Nottingham community or the town of Mount Airy are encouraged to register.
Fee: $25 per child until August 14, 2010. If your child is a current USA Triathlon Youth member, the fee is $20.00. No race day registration. Limited to the first 100 children to register. There are no refunds.

Course Information:
The race will begin and end at the Nottingham Swim Club. The swim-to-bike and bike-to-run transitions will be at the Nottingham Swim Club.
The swim will take place in the Nottingham Swim Club pool. The pool is 25 meters in length. The bike course consists of rolling hills through the Nottingham community. Roads will be open to traffic. The run course will follow neighborhood sidewalks and will include a challenging hill for the older triathletes.
