2010 Pine Barrens Olympic Distance Triathlon:

  • The Pine Barrens Sprint and Olympic Distance Triathlons are events that test the endurance and athletic ability of its competitors.
  • Held in the middle of Southern New Jerseys Pine Barrens, a million plus acres of sandy soil and scrub pines dotted with crystal waters tinged red from iron and cedar, it is the East Coasts largest contiguous wilderness area and ecosystem.
  • Course Information:

  • Our venue is truly one of the hidden gems of the Mid-Atlantic region boasting a clean, crystal clear water, out & back lake swim.
  • Our bike course is flat and fast on shaded country roads with very little traffic.
  • The run is what makes this course so unique. Barring heavy rains the run course is 100% cross country. Youll run on crushed cinders, hard packed sand covered with pine needles, meadow grass fire roads and some sections of loose, beach like sand. Off road provides plenty of shade, not to mention cooler temps, and the scenery cannot compare.
