Triathlon is a 100 yard swim, 2 mile bike ride and 1 mile run challenge for
children 5 to 15 years old.

Register: The easiest way to
register is online at bmckids.com. Online
Registration will close on Thursday, Aug. 14. A swim time is required
when you register. If you register after Thursday, Aug. 14 or you fail to
enter a swim time you will be placed at the end of the swim line on race day.
Cost: The cost of the race is $30
or $35 after Thurs, Aug. 14. If you have more than one child then a $5
family discount per child will be applied.
Pick-up: Packets will be
available at the YMCA at 6:00pm on Friday, Aug. 15 at the Parent Meeting.
Identification: From 7:00-7:45am on race day
each child will be marked with a marker with their race number and age.
This is placed on their calf and shoulder.
Awards: All triathletes will receive
a finisher’s award. 1st, 2nd and 3rd
Place trophies will be awarded to each age group. Official results link
will be posted on bmckids.com.
Clinic and Meetings: All
clinics will be held at the Owasso YMCA by 360 Sports Bike Shop. Bring
your swim suit, bike and be prepared to run the course – All clinics are FREE
and will begin at 6pm. Friday, July 11 - Friday, Aug 1 - Friday, Aug. 8
Event: The swim is 100-yard
snake swim. Children will start in 15-second intervals. Goggles are
recommended. It is important that a swim time is provided at the time
Event: The bike is a 2-mile bike ride. All street safe bikes
are accepted. HELMETS ARE REQUIRED! Helmets must meet all
safety regulations and must be strapped on before the cyclist leaves the
transition area. Bikes must be walked out of the transition area. PARENTS
WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN THE TRANSITION AREA!
Run Event: The run/walk is a 1 mile run through Rayola Park and around the YMCA.
