2010 Valpo Triathlon:

  • The Eighth Valpo Triathlon will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2010, at Rogers-Lakewood Park.
  • Hosted by the Valparaiso Family YMCA and the Valparaiso Department of Parks and Recreation along with a number of area sponsors, this sprint distance triathlon will consist of 14 mile swimming, 12.4-mile biking and 3.2-mile running competitions.
  • Division winners will be awarded in each age division for male and female, along with the overall winners, both male and female.
  • Interested athletes must be at least 15 years old by December 31, 2010 to participate.

  • 14 mile swim in an out-and-back format on Loomis Lake.
  • 12.4 mile bike on county roads with some hilly areas but generally flat
  • 3.2 mile flat running course.
  • Common transition area for both transitions with racks provided.

    • Directions:

  • 3 miles off of Rt.6 in Valparaiso Indiana.
  • 7 miles off of US 30 in Valparaiso.
