The Walk to End Epilepsy is for a serious cause to increase awareness about epilepsy, rally together, and raise money to continue our fight to END EPILEPSY. This fund raising and awareness raising event brings together a large cross-section of constituents, representing our 50+ years of commitment to people with epilepsy and their families. Walkers include those living with seizures and their caregivers; doctors, nurses and other health care professionals; government leaders; Foundation staff and volunteers; corporate walking teams; celebrities committed to the cause; Foundation business partners and, of course, members of the general public who want to join the fight to END EPILEPSY.
This major regional event ignites the communitys passion for both running AND support for a good cause. Want to JOIN the Team or DONATE to support their amazing athletic feats?
The Epilepsy Foundation of Indiana calls upon you, your family, friends, co-workers, and classmates to step forward for a community so often neglected and forgotten. Seizures steal moments and memories, can change lives, impact development, affect learning and can even result in early death. At least 40 percent of the 160,000 living with epilepsy in our backyard are severely affected and continue to have seizures despite treatment. There is no known cure.
You can make a difference. You are the difference. Ask others to support your heartfelt efforts. Your involvement provides care, advocacy and education today while investing in research and hope for tomorrow.
