Do you enjoy competing in the great outdoors? If so, you'll love the Mighty Mississinewa Triathlon. Follow the same paths historically walked by the Miami Indians. Swim the lake, ride county roads, and run groomed trails through beautiful natural areas.
Proceeds from this event will be invested in a fund managed by Indiana Heritage Trust. This fund will be used to purchase ground around Mississinewa Lake, Indiana Department of Natural Resources, IDNR, as it becomes available. Conserving and managing land for today's visitors and future generations to enjoy is the goal of the IDNR and the staff at Mississinewa Lake.
Mandatory safety meeting 7:50 a.m. Start time: 8:30 a.m. all times Eastern Daylight Savings Time (EDT) Kids fun run to precede the event at 8:10 a.m.
Swim 500 yards in Mississinewa Reservoir - begin and finish at the beach.
Bike 16.6 miles on lightly traveled scenic roads around Mississinewa Lake.
Run 3.75 miles on Old Frances Slocum Trail Road and well groomed trails.
The event staging and parking areas will be at a beach shelter house.
