The Folsom Lake International Triathlon in its third year. The race is at beautiful Granite Beach, Folsom Lake, featuring a lake swim, one lap road bike, and scenic trail run.

Relay Teams
The Folsom Lake International Triathlon consists of one swimmer, one cyclist and one runner. Entry fee includes three race shirts, athlete goody bags and post- race meals. Awards for Relay Teams will be first overall in Male, Female and Coed divisions.
Swim - The race starts from Granite Beach in Folsom Lake with a 1.5K swim from the beach area. The swim course will be a triangular course marked by the large white triangular buoys. Water temperature should be between 64-68 degrees. Wetsuits are recommended. The swim will exit the lake and head up the beach to the transition area located in the parking area.
Bike - The 40K bike course will exit the State Park and travel on local roads through Placer County. Course maps will be available on race morning at Registration. The Bike course will NOT have an aid station. Water and electrolyte beverage, along with energy gels will be available in the transition area. Run - The 10K run course leaves transition and runs on single-track trails along the lake back towards Beals Point. The out and back course has 5 aid stations that will be stocked with water, electrolyte beverage, and energy gels. The finish is back at the start area at Granite Beach. ALL athletes must wear their race number on the front of their body during the run and have it when crossing the finish line.
Aid stations will be located in the transition area and at mile one on the run course, serving cold water, and Electrolyte beverage.
First place Male and Female in the Folsom Lake International Triathlon will receive Overall Champion Awards. There will be awards five deep in each five-year age group and Relay Team awards for the Top team in each Division of Male, Female and Coed. The Aquabike will have awards for the top three male and female overall finishers.
Expected water temperature for Folsom Lake will be 62-68 degrees. Wetsuits are allowed. Swim fins and snorkels are not allowed. Helmets must be worn and buckled on the bike at all times. Run numbers must be worn on the run and when crossing the finish line. Listening devices of any kind: MP3, IPod, headphones, etc. are not allowed.
Included for each competitor is a Folsom Lake Triathlon tech-tee race shirt, swim cap, athlete goody bag plus hot post race meal and free athlete massage.
Included for each competitor is a post race meal of hot pasta with salad, fruit, cookies and beverage.
The post race sports expo will have vendors such as Total Body Fitness, Fleet Feet Sports, and Kinetic Cycles.
