Course Information:
Swim 1K, Bike 30K, Run 5K
The course is scenic, flat, and fast.
The swim (known as "the toughest swim in Texas") is an out-and-back course in Corpus Christi Bay. Water conditions range from smooth to choppy, depending on wind. Wetsuits are recommended but not required (average April water temperature is 73). There is a 50-minute cutoff for the swim.
The bike and run courses are the same for the triathlon and duathlon. Cyclists ride and out-and-back course down Ocean Drive along the Corpus Christi Bay Trail, turning at the naval base.
The run winds through Cole Park by the bay
