PACKET PICKUP & LATE REGISTRATION- PICTURE ID REQUIRED Sunday, October 10th from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM at race site. Registration is open race morning!
RACE LOCATION- The TVA Melton Hill Recreation Area is located outside Lenoir City, TN just off Hwy 321/95. The race site is about 30 miles West of Knoxville. From I-40 exit #364 towards Oak Ridge approximately 1/2 mile to park entrance on your RIGHT Look for Race Day Events banner! From I-75 take exit #81 towards Oak Ridge 5 miles to race site. The three large parking lots are 1.3 miles into the park on the left before the dam hill. Camping on site is $14 night/ per site. Hot showers! See Lenoir City hotel list at web site.
USAT Info: ALL USAT RULES APPLY Please review the list of common penalties. Remember to stay to the far right unless you are passing someone. Helmets must be ANSI approved and buckled at ALL TIMES WHILE ON THE BIKE. This includes warm up and after the event! No warnings! Please do not ruin your day by not wearing your helmet!
ALL NON USAT MEMBERS WILL COMPLETE ONE DAY LICENSE FORM.
Course Information:
RUN Course- The run is a out and back course on the main park road. Turn around is before Highway 95. Aid stations will be ready with Gatorade & water at miles 1 and 2. Stay right and follow signs & volunteer directions. Enter transition area at far end of lot
BIKE TRANSITION AND COURSE- Bike racks will be on a first come basis. All competitors will be going through the entire transition area. NO RIDING IN THE TRANSITION AREA. Bike will be mounted and dismounted at the transition exit. Bike course map is attached. Bottle exchange with Gatorade & water is after the turn around on Bear Creek Road. Re-enter transition area just like at the end of the first run. Dismount bikes before signs.
2nd RUN Course- Repeat first run except finish will be down into the boat ramp parking lot. Note: this is a down hill finish.
