We are proud to bring the Athleta Iron Girl duathlon back to Bloomington for the eighth year! The largest women's duathlon in the country.
The Iron Girl event experience provides women with the perfect platform for first timers and experienced athletes to reach their personal bests.
Course Information:
The run will be one 2-mile loop inside Normandale Lake Park along the lake. The park offers a scenic race route.
BIKE COURSE:
There is bike course cut-off time again this year, but we have added additional time, everyone has 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete the bike course, this does not include your first run loop.
If you do not finish the bike within the cut-off time, a volunteer or race official remove your timing tag. You will not be able to go on to the next leg of the event.
Directions:
Normandale Lake Park is located at 84th and Chalet Road, conveniently off the I-494 Highway from the Normandale Blvd. exit.

Age Group Awards
Awards to the top 3 finishers in each age group will be presented limited edition Iron Girl jewelry from Milestone Jewelry. We will have 15 age groups: 18- 19; 20 - 24; 25 - 29; 30 - 34; 35 - 39; 40 - 44; 45 - 49; 50 - 54; 55 - 59; 60 - 64; 65 - 69; 70 - 74; 75 - 79; 80- 84; 85+ You must be 18 years or older to participate in the event.
Finisher Medals
All finishers will receive a custom Iron Girl medal.
Strollers, Inline Skates, Rollerblades, Headphones and Dogs Not Allowed On Course
For the safety of all participants, strollers, inline skates, rollerblades, headphones and dogs are not allowed on the course at any time.
