Thaos Into the Light Race is organized annually to honor Thao Nguyen, a sophomore student at Drexel University whose life was cut short on March 3, 2013. She was a multi-talented student who excelled in writing, writing poetry, playing the violin, painting, and blogging about local music bands. We want to bring into light awareness of mental health problems. We also hope the race will bring a hopeful voice to all people currently affected by mental illnesses. It is not too late to save another parents child.
Course Information:
The run is on a very flat mix of grass and dirt. That should be enjoyable to the seasoned runner or the new runner. There will be refreshments and music. This course has been certified by USAT however this race isn't sanctioned by USAT.
Directions:
Take the I-695 beltway to Exit 29. Turn left at the first light onto Cromwell Bridge Road. Turn left onto park entry road at 2175 Cromwell Bridge Road. Signs say Cromwell Valley Park, Willow Grove Farm, Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks. Follow the road across the bridge and park in gravel parking lot on left.
