The Run Palatine 5K is a low-cost, family friendly event that offers both a 5K and a 1 mile fun run. For area high school runners, this event serves as a kickoff for the summer training period. For community racers and joggers, the quick 5K course is certified by USATF and offers a great opportunity to run a personal best. For area youth runners, the 1 mile fun run is a great chance to gain experience in track racing.
The event is sponsored by the Run Palatine organization and is run by the boys and girls coaches from the Fremd and Palatine cross country teams. Our organization promotes all running events in Palatine while building community around the shared virtues of fitness, wellness, and competitive success.
