The Azalea Classic is a fun, family-friendly event with a race for everyone. Join us for the 1K Fun Run/Walk, the 1 Mile Challenge Run (ages 8-12) or our USAT&F certified 5K.
Our course features rolling hills in a quiet residential neighborhood with all streets closed to traffic. The course features azalea-lined streets, rolling hills, and a couple challenging hills. Finish line at UPES! Live music and entertainers to cheer participants on! Splits called at 1 and 2 miles. Water station at 112 mile mark. Friendly volunteers all around! Great post-race party on school grounds!
We finish up with a DJ at our post-race party.

Maryland From 495, south on US Rte. 1, past Univ. of Maryland. Thru intersection of Queens Chapel Rd. to Underwood St. Right on Underwood, two blocks to school. District US Rte. 1 north (Rhode Island Ave.) through intersection of East-West Hwy (St. Rte. 410). Left on Underwood St. to University Park Elementary School.
