2010 Revolution3 Knoxville Triathlon:
Revolution3 Triathlon is proud to announce our partnership with the city of Knoxville, Tennessee; this dynamic venue will serve as the Kickoff event for our 2010 Rev3 Race Series. Our Feature race in Knoxville will be our Olympic Distance Rev: 0.9 mile swim, 24.8 mile bike & 6.2 mile run. We will also be offering a longer distance HalfRev race consisting of: 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike & 13.1 mile run.
On Race Day athletes will experience the vitality of Knoxvilles downtown, featuring Volunteer Landing, The University of Tennessee and a fabulous finish in the heart of downtown's famed Worlds Fair Park.
In addition to being able to compete in one of the most dynamic races in the world, your entry fee also includes the following: race shirt, $10.00 to our race charity, race visor/hat, long sleeve finisher shirt, official Rev3 sling bag, finisher medal, Rev3 water bottle & finisher towel .
Athletes will begin their day entering the Tennessee River via Volunteer Landing, adjacent to the very popular Calhouns Restaurant. Family & spectators will have the opportunity to enjoy watching the swim from one of Calhouns expansive decks facing the River, along with the option of a buffet breakfast set up especially for the Rev3 Triathlon.
Athletes will exit the water across from famed University of Tennessees Neyland Stadium and begin their bike ride out of the city and into the beautiful rural countryside. Those competing in the HalfRev will venture out toward the base of the Smoky Mountains. Athletes will return to the city of Knoxville and transition onto the run through Knoxvilles beautiful greenways, the University of Tennessee and adjacent neighborhoods culminating with a spectacular finish in the heart of Worlds Fair Park.
