_The 2026 River Trail Adventure Triathlon:
This modified triathlon sports kayaking instead of swimming, a hybrid of paved and dirt trail biking, and a mix of trail and road running. Take on the challenge individually or compete with a team of two or three. The race is split into two distances -- Tri-Hard and Tri-Harder.
Tri-Hard
2.5k Kayak up and back down the Flat River
7-mile Bike loop through King Milling, over Riverfront Park Pedestrian Bridge, and back
2.5k Run through the North Country Trail
Tri-Harder
5k Kayak up and down the Flat River
13-mile Bike loop up the Fred Meijer Flat River Trail, around Fallasburg Park, and back
5k Run through the North Country Trail
All ages and experiences welcome! We are dedicated to making this a family-friendly event while also bolstering healthy competition. Participants are required to bring their own bike (the Tri-Hard route can be easily trekked with any type of bike, however, the Tri-Harder route travels over some dirt roads and gravel pathways, thus, a hybrid bike would most likely work best for this route) and are highly encouraged to supply their own kayak.

Please specify in your signup and we will work on providing one for you! There is a limited number of kayaks, so first come, first serve!
