The Spring Classic Sprint Triathlon is a race that has been a staple on many triathlete’s race calendars. The Spring Classic is a great race for beginner triathletes who might be nervous about the open water idea yet provides a competitive environment for seasoned triathletes. The race is well organized, supported and sure to become one of your go to races season after season.
The Race consists of a 500 yd pool swim, a 14 mile bike segment and a 5K run. You can enter as an individual or as a team if you’re not confident on one or more of the segments. Teams are men’s, women’s, or mixed and compete together in the same category for the overall award.
Course Information:
Pool swim. 10 laps
The bike portion covers a challenging, but not impossible bike course on traffic controlled, mostly county and township roads. Out and back design.

The run portion is reasonably flat through mostly neighborhood streets. One hill to speak of.

Directions:
Just GPS directions to the Davis Family YMCA, 45 McClurg Rd, Youngstown, OH. Your safest route would be to enter the Y via the Market St (SR 7) entrance as the McClurg Rd entrance may be closed to traffic for the race.

This year we'll be hosting the kids Splash 'n Dash after the last heat exits the pool. Ages 5-12.
