There’s nothing quite like racing in Washington State’s Pacific Northwest (PNW). Crisp inland lake swims, hauntingly beautiful forest trail runs, big mountain climbs, and stunning scenery around every turn makes this an instant fall classic.
Course Information:
As you step onto Orcas Island, take a moment to appreciate its lush beauty. Known as the “gem of the San Juans”, this horseshoe-shaped island offers a perfect blend of arts and culture, pristine lakes, and endless outdoor possibilities. The majority of the island’s 57 square miles are rural and hilly, which makes it a pleasure for drivers and a challenge for cyclists and trailer runners. The curving roads wind through forests, past artists’ studios, fields with old apple barns, and the occasional turn-of-the-century prune-drying barn.
