_The 2024 Pomona Sprint Triathlon:
Join us for our 2nd Annual Pomona Sprint Triathlon and Duathlon! (This event has replaced the Shadowcreek Tri.) This event will take place on Sunday, June 23rd at the Pomona Community located at 4545 Pomona Parkway, Manvel, Texas. Pomona is 8 minutes from our old location straight down Kingsley (Cnty Rd 48) or 288 to the Pomona exit. Since July has repeatedly been so hot, moving it to June should help with the help a little.
The Pomona Tri/Du offers a 500 meter lake swim followed by a 12.5 mile bike ride and a 3 mile run; duathlon athletes will do a half mile run vs the swim. The bike is now a one loop course followed by a run through the Pomona neighborhood ending at the neighborhood clubhouse. Parking for this event will be located at the Pomona Elementary, steps away from transition and finish line.
