2011 Defiance Optimist Sprint Triathlon & Duathlon:

Defiance Optimist Club is putting on a Sprint Triatlon.

Half mile swim, 12 mile bike, 3.1 mile run.

$300.00 to the winning Male and Female.

Also 2nd - 5th, 150,100,75,50 so come collect your cash.

Min. Age is 15 as of July 23rd.

The funds raised will support the youth of Defiance area and their organizations.

We are also having a Duathlon for the non swimmer 3.1 mi. run,12 mi. Bike, 3.1 mi. run

All USAT rules will be enforced.

Free first time or anybody who wants to attend at 6:00 pm at the reservoir on Friday, July 22nd

Refreshments and fruits will be after race.

Course Information:

The course will down and back swim staying close to shore on the way back.

Followed by a very flat bike loop that will be marshalled by the Defiance cycling club.

Finish with a run around the reservoir. (about 1.5 miles on the road a couple of small hills up the reservoir).

Directions:

Take U.S. route 24 to Baltimore exit Left and head into town.

Then take the first right about 1 mile down on Baltimore, go over R.R tracks and 14 mile reservoir is on the right.

Drive to west end of reservoir.

This will be a very frendly and family run race with trying to meet all racers needs, Thank You for choosing us and we will only get better as we get bigger. Come win some money and have fun. Good Luck To ALL.
