The second annual Steelman Sprint Triathlon Challenge and 5K scheduled for February 24, 2013. The event includes a challenging sprint triathlon and a 5k run to satisfy the hard-core athlete as well as the weekend warrior.

The course has been developed to stretch the limits of our participants and provide a challenge for the most seasoned athletes.

Steelman triathlon is a multi-sport event involving the completion of three continuous and sequential endurance events, which include swimming, running and bicycling. The Steelman Triathlon is a Sprint distance and begins in reverse order with the first leg consisting of a 5K (3.2) mile Run followed by a 12 mile bike climb and concluding with a 100 Yard swim.

For the non triathaletes, there will be a 5k Run which will be a separate but distinct event and will challenge the beginner to intermediate runners, but also be inviting to those younger participants. The triathlon competitors are separated at the finish line and then transitioned into the bicycle leg of the event.
