The Blueberry 5K has been USATF Certified GA24019WC and can be used as a qualifier for any major road race such as the PEACHTREE 10K ROAD RACE

New Vision Methodist Church presents Blueberry 5K held on June 6, 2026. This run is held in conjunction with the Georgia Blueberry Festival in Alma GA.

Early 5K registration is only $25 until April 30, 2026 and 5K Participants that register by May 6th, 2026 will be guaranteed a shirt in their size. Late Registration is $30 from May 1 to June 4th, $35 on June 5th and $40 on race day, cash or checks only. Shirts may be available if you registered late on a first come first serve basis. 

The 1 Mile entry fee is only $5 and runners receive a water bottle.

The 5k will start at 7:30 a.m. sharp. The 1 mile fun run starts at 8:15am.

There is also a First Responders Challenge at 7:15am. Bacon County Sheriff's Dept vs Bacon County Fire and EMS vs Alma Police Dept. The winning department will display the traveling Victory Trophy until next year's showdown.

Packet pickup begins at Friday June 5th at the white gazebo in the middle of the Blueberry Festival from 6pm-730pm. Then Saturday June 6th at First Baptist Church (201 N Church Street, Alma, GA 31510) from 6am-7am.

Bring your fastest shoes and best attitude! First place Overall Male and Female and first place in age groups will be awarded post 1 mile race. Age groups are 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and older

Plan to hop on over to the Blueberry Pancake Breakfast (and blueberry syrup with homemede sausage) sponsored by the Alma Lions Club located at Lions Club House located on 4th Street at the old high school.
