The Newport Harbor Triathlon is a scenic, beginner-friendly Oregon Coast race that brings athletes together for a safe, welcoming, and memorable multisport experience. Participants begin with a sheltered swim at the Newport Aquatic Center, continue onto a paved out-and-back bike course along the Yaquina River and coastal roads, and finish with a mostly flat run that crosses the iconic Yaquina Bay Bridge, offering stunning elevated views of the bay and surrounding area. Designed for both first-time and experienced triathletes, the event promotes healthy, active living while supporting local high school athletics and Parks and Recreation youth scholarships.
