Ready to challenge yourself in the heart of the desert? The Castle Creek Triathlon is a test of endurance, where athletes will swim, bike, and run their way through the stunning Southwestern landscape. Whether you’re a seasoned triathlete or a first-timer, this event offers a breathtaking views, tough terrain, and a supportive community of competitors. Conquer the course, and earn your place at the finish line!

Sprint = 1 loop. Olympic = 2 loops
Keep buoys on your left
TRANSITION
Swim in/Bike in at east end (end closest to the lake)
Bike out/Run out at west end
The ground in transition is on the rough side. Feel free to leave flip flops at swim exit
No water stations. Athletes to self-support on bike
Traffic is restricted but road not completely closed to traffic. STAY RIGHT! Share the road. Exercise caution
Please ride very cautiously from the entry station down the hill to the boat ramp. This section of road will also have runners
Out and back toward Carefree Highway
Follow instructions of staff and/or MCSO
Sprint = 2 loop. Olympic = 4 loops
Turn around
1. Castle Hot Springs Rd 3.95 miles from north boat ramp
2. Four lane boat ramp entry station
Sprint = 1 loop. Olympic = 2 loops
Follow instructions of staff and/or MCSO
Water station at turn around points
AQUABIKE
Final time for aquabike participants will be calculated at BIKE IN. Once you have finished please make your way to the finish line in your own time to collect your medal, grab a drink and return your timing chip.
