_The 2025 Lake Nighthorse Triathlons:
The Durango Tri Club invites you to come compete in either our Sprint or Olympic distance triathlon races. Sprint and Olympic distance races held concurrently from beautiful Lake Nighthorse outside of Durango Colorado. Courses are moderately hilly with the Olympic race doing 2 laps of the sprint course for all disciplines.
Course Information:
Sprint Distance Triathlon - 750M Swim, 20km Bike, 5km Run
Olympic Distance Triathlon - 1500M Swim, 40km Bike, 10km Run
Both races feature a lake swim in beautiful Lake Nighthorse, followed by a challenging hilly road bike, and finishing with a scenic rolling run.
The Bike course includes some challenging climbs, while the Run course is rolling on mostly natural dirt/gravel surface with spectacular views of the lake.
The Olympic course is two laps of the Sprint course for all disciplines.
