_The 2024 Delta Lake Triathlon:
Welcome back to Rome, NY and the scenic and lovely 720 acre Delta Lake State Park. Produced by Wilson Endurance Sports in cooperation with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation - Central Region.
Sprint & Olympic Triathlon & AquaBike
Feeling really ambitious? Do the Delta Double! Race the Sprint Tri and get back to the starting line in time to race the Olympic Tri.
Start with a 750m swim followed by a moderate hilly 11 mile bike ride outside of the Park followed by a 5K run all within the grounds of the State Park with a finish right next to the lake. The Olympic participants will complete 2 loops of each course.
Paratriathletes are welcome!
Participants in the AquaBike competition will complete their event after the bike. There are no relay team entries for the AquaBike.
NO CUT-OFF TIMES FOR ANY OF OUR EVENTS!
***Dogs are prohibited from being brought to the race. If you, or any family member, or your spectators, bring a dog to the race, we will disqualify the athlete. NO refunds.
RATES
Rates changes can be found under EVENT INFO tab on the left.
This race is a USAT-sanctioned event. Participants must be current USAT members or purchase a one-day membership for $15 during registration.
We offer an early bird, rock bottom, ridiculously low rate for one week only of $69. No coupons or discounts apply.
RACE DAY
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
Friday - 12p - 8pm - Packet Pick Up at race site (not mandatory) and bike drop off. Overnight security is provided.
Saturday - 7:00am - Sprint Triathlon (Individuals and Relay Teams) & AquaBike
8:30am - Olympic Triathlon (Individuals and Relay Teams) & AquaBike
*Delta Double - Race the Sprint AND the Olympic Tri (all athletes must finish the Sprint that begins at 7:00am and be back to the start line for the 8:30am Olympic Tri)

Beer Zone supplied by Southern Tier Brewing Company (must be 21 years of age)
Post-race food will be provided.
COURSE SUPPORT:
Water & Hammer Nutrition at transition and three locations on the run course. No fluids offered on bike course.
There will be NO on-site bike maintenance. Be prepared.
PARKING:
Parking will be at the race site within Delta Lake State Park. You will not be charged an entrance fee into the park; however, if you have spectators coming they will be charged after 8am.
MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS:
DO NOT BRING DOGS TO THIS EVENT - PER DELTA LAKE STATE PARK. If you bring your dog you will be disqualified.
Restrooms will be available at the race site provided by Delta Lake State Park. There will be no other facilities available on bike or run courses.
Course Information:
SWIM COURSE
The SPRINT course will be a 750-meter rectangle in a counterclockwise direction with an in-water start.
OLYMPIC participants will come out of the water, run around the buoy and enter the water again for your second loop of the swim.
Wave starts for men, women & relay teams.
Wetsuits are legal but not mandatory.
You are welcome to wear a personal swim buoy if you are more comfortable. We would ask that you start at the back of the pack so as to not interfere with other swimmers.
BIKE COURSE
11 mile bike loop with the Olympic participants making two loops of the course.
No aid stations on the bike course; there will be one in transition with Hammer Nutrition products and water.
This course is flat and fast.
RUN COURSE
The absolutely beautiful 5K run course takes place completely within the State Park grounds on a wide carriage trail, paved roadway and sidewalk.
Olympic athletes will follow the signs to complete loop 2 of the course.
