Award presentations will follow the race, with plenty of free refreshments and prizes to the top 3 female and male runners in youth, open, and masters categories for each of the 3 distances. Free parking. Restrooms in the Outdoor Center open to race participants.
Beginning and ending in the Trapp Family Lodge Meadow, the races wind through 800 vertical feet of idyllic forest, bubbling streams, and wildflowers. The races follow a dirt road briefly before merging with double-track cross-country trails. Each distance includes running on some single-track trails with plenty of switchbacks and terrain to challenge each participant. The half-marathoners will run a double loop of the 10K route, circling back through the finish. These beautiful trails are not accessible to the general public so this is a special opportunity to run in a unique location.
This is a great chance to do a training run if you are planning on running the Trapp Mountain Marathon!
