I am pleased to announce the 11th Annual 5K Fundraiser benefiting the Saint Catherine University Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) Program! The event will take place on September 17th, 2023 at 9:00 am at Phalen regional park St.Paul, Minnesota.
PAs are a vital part of the healthcare system and are more than what their name alludes to. PAs are advanced practice providers, and like doctors, can diagnose and treat patients in many different areas of medicine. During the last few years, PAs, including many of our professors, have risked their lives on the front lines to help treat patients with COVID 19. It is essential to have well-trained healthcare providers caring for patients here in Minnesota, and it is also important to continue to have proper training of PAs. St. Kate\'s does a great job of preparing students for the PA profession.
Our goal this year is to raise $3,000, which will enable St. Kate\'s PA students to attend national and state conferences and workshops throughout the year as well as advocate for the PA profession throughout Minnesota. 20% of funds raised will go to St. Mary\'s clinics, a ministry of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet who have been providing high-quality, affordable, accessible healthcare to underserved communities since 1992.
